Foods International (AFI)
Officer
International (AFI) is a non-profit organization fully registered with the
Government of Uganda. AFI is devoted to use community based sustainable models
to promote food literacy, best WASH practices and elevated income that
translates into development and reduction of malnutrition. AFI works with both
local and international development partners by providing a comprehensive
approach to solving public nutrition problems through; Food security, nutrition
and health assessments/surveys for immediate community interventions,
developing and implementing projects with regard to prevailing food insecurity,
health and nutrition problems such as Supplementary Feeding Programme (SFP),
Therapeutic Feeding Programme (TFP), Infant and Young Child Feeding practices,
good nutrition for adolescents, elderly, pregnant and lactating women,
sustainable Food and Agriculture Production and capacity building for district
level health/nutrition leaders.
- The job holder shall provide technical support to implementing
partners and local stakeholders to develop systems and mechanisms for
proper mainstreaming of gender and protection in the emergency response
programs and to prevent, respond to, and resolve the abuse, neglect and
violence experienced by children and women in the refugee camps. - Represent Andre Foods International gender & protection issues,
identifying opportunities to advocate Andre Foods International’s position
on the rights of the children and women through exchange of information,
negotiation and lobbying. - Actively participate in needs assessments, post distribution
monitoring and field visit.
- The applicant must hold a University degree in Development Studies,
Social Sciences or any other related field. - A minimum of two (2) years of work experience in the same field.
- Good report writing skills
- Computer literate.
