Legal Officer Complaints and Litigation
regulate, supervise, monitor and control the business of Insurance in Uganda.
provide legal services to support operationsin accordance with Authority’s
Policies, procedures and the law.
- Assist in assessing legal
implications in the Authority’s dealings with the insurance companies,
other operators who carry on other business that falls within the purview
of the Insurance Act and other pertinent laws and regulations. - Interpret the Insurance
Act and other pertinent laws and regulations, to assist in the enforcement
together with its related regulations as the need may arise. - Assist in managing the
Complaints Bureau as provided for in the Insurance Act. - Assist in monitoring
enactments of laws and regulations and assess their impact on the
operations of the Authority. - Carry out legal research
to support internal and external counsel. - Provide legal advice to
the Authority. - Assist in reviewing
insurance proposals and policy forms. - Carry out any other duties
as may be assigned from time to time.
- The ideal candidate for

of Uganda Legal Officer Litigation job placement must hold a
Bachelor s of Laws degree (Honours) and diploma in Legal Practice. - Three years of
post-enrollment experience.
