& Evaluation Assistant
Development (ACODEV) is a regional NGO that was founded in 2003 and runs
Integrated Community Development Programs in Public Health, Human Rights, OVC
support, Livelihood and Grassroots Capacity Development programs including
sub-granting for small grassroots organizations in East and now Southern Africa
region.
USAID, ACODEV, in partnership with Catholic Relief Services (CRS) as the Prime,
is implementing a 5-year consortium Program: Sustainable Outcomes for Children
and Youth (SOCY).
Data Clerks will work as a member of the Sustainable Outcomes for Children and
Youth (SOCY) Project, and will support in data entry, data cleaning, and
analysis of SOCY MIS data to inform planning and program decision making
processes.
Coordinate
the collection of data from point of origin, participate in the processing of
data to locate missing information and make corrections as necessary
Prepare,
organise, check and sort data collected for entry or other use.
Ensure
timely entry of District specific data into the SOCY databases for SOCY
implementing partners/CSOs.
Verify
data entered into the database(s) by checking printouts for errors and
correcting as required.
Upload
data entered and captured in the SOCY database on a daily basis
Ensure
accurate capturing of all fields on the tools in the system, SOCY case
management registers, referral registers, OVCMIS integrated registers and
quarterly OVC MIS 100 as per hard copy tool.
Carry out
data cleaning and analysis plus report writing.
Ensure
proper handling of paper records and maintain extreme confidentiality of the
information therein the tools
Supporting
CSO Social Workers to keep proper custody of household/case files and
maintaining order filing of various SOCY data collections tools
Avoid
omissions or commission of information on any tool without the approval of the
M&E specialist.
Participate
in development and/or administering of SOCY M&E tools across three result
areas
Participate
in District and activity performance review/sharing and feedback meetings
Perform
any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor(s) from time to time as
need arises.
The ideal
candidate for the Data Clerk USAID Project jobs must hold a Bachelor’s degree
in Monitoring and evaluation, or BSc statistics BSc. Quantitative Economics,
BSc. Population Studies or any other relevant degree
Two years
of experience in a reputable institution in carrying out similar tasks.
Keen attention
to detail
Good
organization and planning skills with effective time management skills
Ability
to perform multiple tasks and work under pressure
Good
computer skills
