Job Summary:
The Financial Analysis Officer will provide support in ensuring that the insurance
industry players comply with the provisions of Insurance Act 2000 (as amended).
The Financial Analysis Officer will provide support in ensuring that the insurance
industry players comply with the provisions of Insurance Act 2000 (as amended).
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gather and collect data from licensed insurance entities, prepare
draft report on financial stability. - Review license applications for insurance players.
- Carry out on-site and off-site inspections of insurance players in
compliance with the Insurance
Act 2000 (as amended). - Evaluate accompanying notes to financial statements and other
support documents. - Analyse financial statements and regulatory returns of insurance
players and prepare reports. - Provide recommendations to the manager for improvement of the
Authority.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Insurance Regulatory Authority of Uganda
Financial Analysis Officer job placement must hold a Bachelor’s (Honours)
degree in Commerce or Business Administration majoring in Accounting. - Professional qualification, at least, part 2 of ACCA and level 2
CPA. - Three years of financial experience in a reputable organisation.
