Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • The incumbent will be responsible for supervising and overseeing the
    social affairs activities and team on site.
  • The team is comprised of community Tourism Liaison Officers,
    Grievance Officers, Community Development officers.
  • Supervise and ensure the team are sensitizing communities on Company
    activities, policies and procedures, managing the grievance and conflict
    resolution process in the operational areas, building the relationship
    with stakeholders on site.
  • Oversee the recruitment of local contractors on site, supervise the
    execution of Community impact management and social investment programs.
  • Ensure necessary monitoring, reporting and feedback of activities
    undertaken is undertaken in a systematic manner.
  • Provide required supervision and decision making in order to
    progress the Tilenga project.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidates for the TOTAL Operations (OPS) Senior Social
    Site Supervisor career placement should preferably hold a Bachelor’s
    Degree in Social Science, Anthropology , Human Resources or equivalent
  • At least fifteen years of experience working in rural communities on
    an oil  and gas project with at
    least 4 years in a supervisory role
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop and
    maintain good relations with a wide range of stakeholders including local
    communities, Non-Governmental Organizations etc.
  • Good Supervisory, negotiation and conflict Management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office
