Job Summary: The
Senior Manager Transmission Planning will provide Assurance to the Network
Group and the Business as a whole over the Performance of the Network and the
services there of vis-a-vis the targets and standard set for MTN UGANDA through
timeous analysis, tracking and reporting while designing, monitoring and
re-engineering the relevant processes, controls and systems that support
Network Group in the delivery of an excellent network quality and customer
experience
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
·        
Network
Performance management as measured through different dimensions (NPS, KPI,
Benchmarks) and assured through proactive analysis, reporting and tracking of
its Quality, Capacity, Resilience and Availability
·        
Design,
monitor and re-engineer network processes that support of the delivery of an
excellent network quality and customer experience to ensure relevance and
compliance and support to the business vision, mission and values guided by
international standards, example ITIL and eTOM
·        
Ensure
the business risk register associated to the Network Group is constantly
updated, tracked and appropriate controls for the mitigation risks therein are
timeously implemented and tested for effectiveness in liaison with the BRM department.
·        
Ensure
appropriate systems and     tools are
budgeted for and acquired as the Network technologies evolve to give visibility
and intelligence to the business of the performance of each     deployed platform, service and network
sub-systems, through comprehensive, accurate and     timeous reporting
·        
Develop
appropriate reports/Dashboards and Timely report to Uganda Communications
Commission, MTN Group, BRM, RA, NWG and other divisions/departments as set out
in     business commitments and SLAs with
the different stakeholders
·        
Provide
support to other network     functions
for proactive approach and also as another layer of assurance that foolproofs
the reports and accuracy of the reports provided by the MS team to improve
service delivery and excellence
·        
Provide
Administration functions and support for the Systems, Servers and Databases
deployed within the Network ensuring that dumps, backups, archives are retained
in accordance with the business policies
·        
Drive
automation and innovation in the Network performance and reporting processes
and also interface with the respective Group function and vendor that supports
the Group reporting     platforms
(example MAPS, CEM, OOKLA..)
·        
Tasked with
the management and leadership for Network Quality and Performance Function
including recruitment, deployment,    
development and appraisal of the Human capital there under
·        
Collaborate
with the commercial teams to deep dive into NPS measurement matrix and drive
the Network     strategy to convert the
Detractors into Promoters and providing the    
relevant business intelligence


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·        
The
ideal candidate for the MTN Uganda Senior Manager Transmission Planning job
opportunity placement should hold a University Degree in BSc Degree in
Electrical or Telecommunication Engineering or the Information technology
·        
Six years
of experience in telecommunications with two years in a senior role
·
