About Study:
NUDIPU and SINTEF
through its institute SINTEF Technology and Society – Norway (hereinafter
called SINTEF), have agreed to carry out a National study on living conditions
among people with disabilities in Uganda.
NUDIPU is responsible for coordination and management of the study.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the research study
- Ensure the research is on course and
represent NUDIPU in the Research Team, the Reference Group. - Represent NUDIPU in the workshops and
other Living Condition meetings - Be the secretary for the RT and the RG
- Ensure that NUDIPU fulfills the above
requirements - Be the contact point in NUDIPU for all
stakeholders who engages in the LC study, and
in particular 5 with other members of the RT and the RG - Be the on-site contact point for SINTEF
and assist in all matters that can contribute to the smooth implementation
of the study - Participate in the Capacity Building
program, training of enumerators and during data collection - Provide support to the Research Team as
needed - Carry out research activity in addition
to the survey; - Analyses of policies in Uganda with
respect to inclusion of vulnerable groups and human rights - Carry out a limited qualitative study
among individuals with disability to complement the findings from the
survey - Synthesizing existing documentation and
research on disability in Uganda
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should hold a Bachelor’s
degree in social work, or community development and or any other relevant
humanities. A relevant Master’s degree is an added advantage. - Three years’ experience in doing
research work and with vast knowledge on disability issues. - He or she should be able to work under
minimum supervision.
