Job Summary: The
Project Coordinator- Nutrition will be responsible for managing the MTI country
nutrition program. S/He will oversee the technical and programmatic projects in
the country; play the pivotal role in ensuring a high level of coordination,
collaboration and joint implementation with WFP and UNHCR Technical teams, as
well as the MoH, to achieve effective implementation. The Project Coordinator-
Nutrition will also monitor the countrywide performance and work closely with
the regional Nutrition Officers to ensure maximum program impact. The incumbent
will also nsure that all the aspects of the nutrition program cycle are
professionally carried out i.e. Assessment, Planning, Budgeting, Monitoring and
Evaluation of the Nutrition Interventions.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The Project Coordinator- Nutrition must
hold a Bachelors’ Degree (Hon) in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Food
Science and Technology, Dietetics or any other related fields from a
recognized University/Institution - Training in project planning and
management or/and Project Monitoring and evaluation is an added advantage - At least fiev years of progressive
experience in Nutrition management, three (3) of which should have been at
the senior Level. - Previous experience of similar services
in reputable public organization/NGO is an added advantage - Proven technical knowledge and capacity
to lead implementation of nutrition activities, projects, programs - Good understanding of links between
emergency and development programs, familiar with project cycle
manaqement. - Experience in donor reporting
- Experience in hardship postings/complex
emergencies, with proven leadership experience; - Able to work in a fluid and insecure
area; - Maturity and ability to adjust to harsh
living conditions. - planning and organizational skills;
- Experience in good project planning and
design. - Ability to manage budgets, understand
financial accountability procedures, logistics, and commodity tracking. - Computer and IT expertise highly
preferred. - Ability to work with minimum supervision
and to deal with problems and issues both promptly and efficiently. - Ability and willingness to travel to
hard to reach locations and live in sometimes basic conditions. - Ability to describe nutritional needs of
the healthy population - Ability to demonstrate knowledge of
current issues in nutrition. - Fluent in communication and writing in
English.
