Job Summary:
The Head of Drilling and Completion Department will be responsible for
drilling, completion, workover preparation and operation, technology management,
schedule and cost control. The Head of Drilling and Completion Department will
also be responsible for the overall management of the department.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Organize drilling, completion and workover program preparation and
    operation.
  • Responsible for the safety management and environmental protection
    during the drilling, completion and workover operation according to the
    related laws, regulations and procedures.
  • Organize and direct to prepare the drilling, completion and workover
    plans in the ODP, and participate in the feasible research on development,
    production and adjustment of oil field.
  • Provide the tendering plan and strategy of the service and material
    procurement in respect of drilling, completion and workover engineering.
  • Organize the technical bidding evaluation of drilling, completion
    and workover services and supervise the contract execution.
  • Prepare the drilling, completion and workover budget plan, and
    control the schedule, quality and cost.
  • Promote the new technology.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The candidate for the CNOOC Uganda Head of Drilling and Completion
    Department job opportunity should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in
    Petroleum engineering, drilling and completion or the related.
  • Twenty years of related working experience in drilling, completion
    or work over.
  • Extensive knowledge of drilling, completion, workover operation,
    production and HSE.
  • Knowledge of cost control, and enterprise management.
  • Understanding of petroleum contract, reservoir, geology and oil
    production.
  • Understanding of oil & gas E&P.
