Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • The job holder will actively support to handle the management and
    execution of the land acquisition and resettlement process.
  • Undertake all requirements for the planning and implementation
    phases of the Resettlement Action Plans ( RAPs).
  • Be responsible for preparation of necessary documentation required
    for the management of the land acquisition, resettlement and livelihood
    restoration process.
  • Manage the Contractual activities of the Resettlement Action Plans
    and Livelihood Restoration Plans.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidates for the TOTAL Operations (OPS) Land Coordinator
    job placement should preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Social
    Studies, Environment, Sustainable Development for related field.
  • At least fifteen years of experience in Environment/Social position
    in developmental project.
  • Experience in oil and gas industry and mining an added advantage .
  • Knowledge of the IFC standards and associated environmental and
    social requirements.
  • Clear understanding of Resettlement Action plans.
  • Experience in conflict resolution and Grievance Management.
  • Knowledge of the legal and regulatory standards on Land management
    in Uganda is an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills.
  • Good Supervisory and Organizational skills.
