Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Tasked with managing the team consisting of Production Technical
    specialists, maintenance technical specialists and the training service
  • Ensuring that training undertaken by the Operators and maintenance
    technicians is in line with the Company’s Health & Safety policy.
  • Ensuring  preparation and
    satisfactory training of the Field Operations personnel for the project.
  • Ensuring the right personnel are recruited with adequate skills to
    start the training program.
  • Develop a competency management procedure to ensure that
    competencies for project personnel are followed and tracked.
  • Manage training contractors and ensure they meet the contract requirements
    and quality expectations of the Company.
  • Ensure that training contractor(s) activities meet the Company’s
    statutory and legislative requirements.
  • Audit the training programmes and develop an overall strategy for
    the training program.
  • Prepare for recruitment and training of the Field Operations
    personnel such us the operators and maintenance technicians.
  • Ensure training is aligned with Company specifications.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidates for the TOTAL Operations (OPS) Recruitment
    & Training Manager job placement should preferably hold a Bachelor’s
    Degree  in a relevant field
  • Fifteen to twenty years of experience in the field of production
    operations, with a minimum of 3 years in a Managerial role OR extensive
    experience as training manager within an Exploration & Production
  • In depth knowledge of the principles related to the training and
    competency assessment.
  • Clear understanding in training and recruitment processes.
  • Ability to work independently and excellent interpersonal and
    analytical skills
  • Demonstrate a rigorous and methodical approach to activities
    ,flexibility and adaptability
  • Excellent managerial, organisational and communication skills
