Job Summary: The
Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist position offers qualified individuals the
rare opportunity to shape and maximize the impact potential of the fund.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: The Specialist will actively participate in
the following activities as Mango Fund serves its markets;
  • Provide program management, project backstopping and M&E support
    to a portfolio of projects.
  • Develop PMPs; train local staff in monitoring and evaluation,
    provide quality control for M&E activities; analyze data; and report
    and disseminate findings.
  • Design and implement performance and/or impact evaluations of
    international development projects.
  • Ensure the integrity of proposed evaluation methodologies and
    processes of evaluation findings.
  • Write, compile, and/or edit program reports.
  • Ensure the quality of work and compliance with contractual
    obligations and results.
  • Track work plans, budgets and deadlines and keep appropriate staff
    informed of upcoming contract-related tasks.
  • Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age
    sensitivity and adaptability
  • Support new business development efforts for evaluation and learning
    proposals.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • The applicant must hold a University degree in Economics,
    International relations, Business Administration or related field.
  • Three years of experience in program monitoring and performance
    M&E as well as demonstrated experience in supporting and leading
    project-wide M&E activities
  • Proven ICT skills, especially in the development of MIS software
    using database software
    .
  • Strong training & facilitation skills.
  • Excellent knowledge and skills in quantitative and qualitative data
    collection and statistical analysis, data management and reporting
    approaches.
  • Demonstrated leadership, strategic thinking, and excellent
    communication skills.
