Job Title:    Logistics Officer

About Us:
Micro-Haem
Scientifics and Medical Supplies Limited mandate is supply of high quality
pharmaceutical and medical products (consumables and equipment) of latest
technology in Uganda and E. Africa; Manufacture Drugs and Medical
Devices/Instruments; Operate the Microhaem Medical Equipment Training School
(offer training, research, capacity building programmes, establish incubation
centre; collaborate with and outsource medical  professionals from related
training institutions globally); run curriculum  that meets international
standards); and engage in maintenance, servicing and repairing of medical
equipment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage inventory with zero error,
  • Prepare and draft LPOs for procurements.
  • Prepare and compile daily stock status reports and import status
    reports.
  • Receive & issue the goods at Stores with 100% accuracy.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and filling at all times.
  • Supervise end month stock take exercise.
  • Supervise the work of the delivery staff and ensure on time
    deliveries
  • Maintain stock records using both manual and computerized systems
  • Initiate/prepare, delivery notes, against purchase orders and
    present them for checking.
  • Ensure safe custody of the products in the warehouse
  • Responsible for custom, documentation and clearance.
  • Responsible for the planning of the transportation from abroad and
    local.
  • Ensure that all incoming goods that require NDA   Import license is in place
  • In charge of maintaining the storage space and receipt in good
    condition
  • Build long-term partnership with customers and suppliers by
    effective communication, strong analytical and problem solving
    capabilities.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager.
Key Performance Indicators:
  • On time order delivery
  • Inventory Accuracy
  • Order accuracy
  • Zero tolerance to stock discrepancy
  • On-time reporting for both imports and stocks.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The applicants must be graduates with Logistics and procurement Management
    qualifications
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • A minimum of three years of related work experience
  • Ability to Plan and complete multiple assignments on time and at
    times with minimal management oversight.
  • Comprehensive approach to documentation and procedural development
  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word,
    PowerPoint, Excel & Microsoft., Quickbooks.
  • Adherence to the set standards and business processes.
