Job Summary: The
Internal Audit Officer will mainly monitor and evaluate adherence to
organizational policies and procedures to meet organizational strategic
objectives at all levels of the organization.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in data gathering, analysis, risk assessment and risk
ranking for audit planning. - Perform internal audits as per the approved Annual Audit Plan.
- Review of compliance of the financial system, internal controls and
organizational policies. - Plan and perform special investigations of systems, policies, procedures
and activities, as required - Participate in monitoring the effectiveness of the organization’s
risk management systems - Assist in the coordination and
participate in Management Audit Committee meetings - Implement initiatives for building the capacity of staff and
partners to enhance a ‘control environment’
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the ActionAid Internal Audit Officer job placement
must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration or
Financial Management majoring in accounting from a recognized institution - Professional qualification; in any of ACCA, CPA, CIA is a MUST
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience from a reputable
organization - Personal Competencies: Auditing Skills, Communication skills, Risk
management skills, Finance management skills, Attention to detail
