Job Summary: The
Procurement Officer will play a key role in executing processes to support the
growing Uganda program.

Procurement Officer Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute request for quotations, supplier selection, and purchases
- Purchase goods and services as requested by internal requestors and
work with suppliers, finance team, and requestors to ensure goods are
delivered on time and to the right specifications at the best possible
price - Build and maintain strong relationships within One Acre Fund teams
to understand their requirements - The Procurement Officer will also assist the Data Coordinator by
following up with Finance on the status of payments to ensure suppliers
are paid on time as need - Render support to management of suppliers’ relationships and
contribute to supplier database in Uganda - Identify and build new supplier relationships for new and existing products
- Work closely with the logistics team to manage delivery logistics to
district offices - Carry out quality checks on supplier deliveries to ensure they meet
required specifications - Assist the procurement team in managing inventory at the office store
– including managing inventory records, keeping stocks reconciled etc. - Execute in-house mass printing requests for internal clients and
ensure they are delivered on-time - Prepare accurate reports of tasks accomplished
- Perform additional tasks as requested by the manager
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the One Acre Fund Procurement Officer must hold a Bachelor’s
degree from an accredited university. Specialization in Procurement/Logistics/Supply
Chain Preferred - Some initial exposure/experience in operations management/supply
chain - Excellent communication skills with suppliers and peers
- Good computer skills in at least Microsoft Word, Excel, and
PowerPoint required, experience using SAP preferred - Highly proactive, team player, organized with a systematic approach
to task - Great problem solving and Interpersonal skills, customer service,
creativity and the ability to work in a dynamic team is a must. - Fluency in English required. Knowledge of Luganda or Lusoga is an
added advantage
