started business in March 1986. It is a multimedia business housing newspaper,
magazines, internet publishing, television, radio broadcasting, commercial
printing, advertising and distribution services. NVPPCL is listed on the Uganda
Stock Exchange, with an expected turnover of over UGX 60 billion (FY
2010/2011).
Job Summary: The
Marketing Officer, Print Media will implement the company’s marketing campaigns
both internally and externally to achieve desired ratings and revenue growth
plans for the print media brands.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager to implement marketing and
    communication campaigns within agreed timelines;
  • Participate in generation and publicizing of print promotions;
  • Organize and attend marketing events to raise brand awareness;
  • Create and implement systems to evaluate the effectiveness of all
    print media marketing activity;
  • Implement an internal marketing program;
  • Support the Marketing Manager with day to day marketing activities;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in monitoring the marketing budget.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The Marketing Officer, Print Media must hold a relevant Bachelor’s
    degree from a recognized university;
  • Previous experience in a similar marketing role.
  • Solid knowledge of marketing techniques and principles
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office/ social media/ online
    applications.
  • Strong and confident communicator
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Insight and intuition
  • Strong interpersonal abilities
  • Creativity and commercial awareness
  • Good team player
