Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The Credit Documentation Officer will
    provide high level quality support Credit Approvers, Relationship Managers and
    related officers in the Business Units while providing some independent control
    over the credit process.
  • Issuance of Banking Facility Letters
    (BFL) upon receipt of approved Business Credit Application (BCA) ensure,
    observing TAT and high standards of accuracy;
  • Issue deficiency reports upon receipt
    of BCA/Accepted BFL
  • Liaisons with external service
    providers on security documentation process and ensure securing documentation
    and conditions have been perfected/completed prior to drawdown of facility
    (unless waiver held);
  • Maintain & Update security
    documentation in the Collateral Management System (CMS) and Integrated
    Collateral Documents Management System (iCDMS)
  • Issuance of Document Deferral Note
    (DDN) and SCC on receipt of last outstanding Security document or BCA
    respectively;
  • To embed the Bank’s AML-CDD
    procedures for all borrowing relationships;
  • Ensure safe custody of the security
    documentation under dual control.
  • To ensure all administration and
    reports relating to Business Clients and Commercial Banking credit operations
    are attended to within the set goals and provide necessary administration
    support to Business Clients and Commercial Banking borrowers.
  • To prepare and issue final releases
    of charges to the unit head for approval
  • Review security file together with
    external lawyers for accounts downgraded to non-performing assets and issue
    Document Verification Certificate (DVC)
  • Review (Early Alert) EA accounts
    files within 5 working days

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The applicant must hold a University
    Degree
  • Two years of functional experience in
    Credit Risk, Operational Risk and Operations
  • Good working knowledge of the
    companies Act and legal requirement
  • Good knowledge of the Bank’s products
    and services.
  • Good working knowledge of the
    operations of other departments.
  • Good working knowledge of Collateral
    management systems.
