and use the power of play to transform the lives of children through their play
programs. Working with disadvantaged young adults, lacking formal education,
East African Playgrounds provide apprentice programs to develop young people’s
skills, knowledge and experience to enter the work place with a trade, skill
and greater confidence.

detail, excellent organisational skills, a good team player, have a willingness
to show initiative and a through and methodical approach to your work. The role
will involve a variety of daily administration tasks such as organising
meetings, printing and data entry. As well as roles that are further involved
in our programs such as coordinating our apprentices and supporting our Educational
Play team.
Responsibilities:
Management
of office equipment Ensuring the office equipment (stationary, water, phones
etc) are always in stock and ordering more when needed.
Tasked
with maintaining a clean and enjoyable working environment
Managing
the cleaning staff and working with all East African Playgrounds staff to keep
the environment clean and tidy
Handling
external or internal communication or management systems
Working
with the databases for scheduling both internal staff and external partnerships
Managing
clerical or other administrative staff
Working
with the drivers and mechanics to manage their time efficiently
Tasked
with organizing, arranging and coordinating meetings
Managing
people time commitments to coordinate the meeting also attending meetings to
minute take
Dealing
with generic enquires through email, post, phone and in person.
Serving
as the first point of contact in the office either, on the phone, over email or
in person, guiding the communication to the correct staff member
Support
the welding apprenticeship program
Coordinate
and schedule the staff for the apprenticeship program
Work
with the Evaluation team and Educational Play team to provide additional
support where needed
Offer assistance
to the teams by visiting schools with the team
To
undertake jobs assigned by the Country Director in a timely manager
In some
instances, you will be asked to support and assist different departments within
the organisation.
Skills and Experience:
The
ideal candidate should preferably hold
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Three
years of professional experience with a good track record
Excellent
references
Keen
attention to detail
Ability
to stay calm under pressure
Methodical
and thorough approach to work
Good at
juggling tasks and prioritizing
A great
team player
A desire
to show initiative
Computer
literacy skills
