Job Summary: The
Accountant will mainly process, prepare, double check and reconcile the
company’s revenues and payables as per internal and international financial
standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate assistant
accountants through task follow ups and target evaluation to ensure they
achieve their set targets. - Post transactions in the ERP system to
enhance reliability and accuracy of the accounting information - Manage all supplier and debtor payments
to enable payment and reporting of accurate amounts - Code all petty cash transactions for
proper classification and allocation of costs and accuracy of the amount - Integrate local and import VAT and
submission to statutory and planning department to enhance compliance to
statutory requirements - Perform bank reconciliation to attain
accuracy and reliability of accounting records and improve internal
controls - Work closely with staff from other
departments to establish a working relationship in order to cooperate on a
matter of mutual concern - Aggregate actual weekly sales from van
sales reports for purposes of sales commission computation. - Verify cash office reports on a daily
basis to ensure accuracy and adequacy - Bill key customers and scrap sales by
issuing and posting invoices to facilitate payment and reporting - Carry out system and excel upload and
authorization of customers and van men credit/debit notes to confirm them
and make corrections where necessary - Carry out annual stock taking exercise
to ascertain stock amounts against available records.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Movit
Products Limited (MPL) Accountant job placement should hold a Bachelor’s
degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Business related field - Possession of professional qualification
in CPA, ACCA is an added advantage - At least three years of working
experience in a busy environment. - Working knowledge of ERP Systems is an
added advantage. - Ability to independently plan and
execute complex tasks while addressing daily management details and
remaining organized and focused. - Ability to assess problems and develop
solutions. - Excellent interpersonal, communication
and presentation plus excellent organization skills.
