Authority (KCCA) is the legal entity, established by the Ugandan Parliament,
responsible for the operations of the capital city of Kampala in Uganda.
- The Kampala Capital City Authority
(KCCA) Medical Records Officer will plan, budget, manage, coordinate,
monitor, and evaluate medical records activities in the Hospital. - Ensure that records on patients are
received, documented, classified and stored. - The jobholder will also periodically
audit records and records systems. - Ensure confidentiality and safety of
records. - Avail records/information on patients to
authorized persons. - Ensure that essential equipment and
other supplies are available. - Actively participate in research
activities. - Promote observance of the Professional
Codes of Conduct and Ethics by staff under him/her. - The jobholder will also manage and
account for allocated resources. - Compile and submit periodic reports.
- Perform any other duties as may be
assigned from time to time.
City Authority (KCCA) Medical Records Officer should hold a Bachelor’s Degree
(Hons) in Records and Information Management, Library and Information Science,
Records and Archives Management or Medical Records from a recognized
University/Institution.
