Health Sciences Program invites applications from suitably qualified persons
for the post of a COUNSELLOR to be posted at Kitaasa, Buyoga, Makukulu and
Katimba Health centre IIIs located in Bukomansimbi and Ssembabule districts.

Job Summary: The
Counsellor will offer quality HIV counselling services to clients, family
members and communities. This entails pre and post-test HIV counselling at all
service sections of the health facility, adherence support for ART, TB and
prophylactic treatment. Linkage and referral services to care, conduct health
education, offer outreach HIV counselling to key and priority populations,
offer assisted partner notification services, index client tracing as well as
conducting home visits.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

applicant must be a Diploma holder in humanities with HIV counselling
certificate from a recognized institution.

of a bachelor’s degree in a related field will be an added advantage.
