both sub-national and national levels.

Job Summary: The
Project Accountant position entails support to the Finance Manager in operating
a strong financial control environment in the organization. Key
duties/responsibilities are: Petty cash management, Prepare Journal Vouchers
for receipt, participate in preparation and consolidation of plans, budgets,
reports and monitor their implementation, Capture payments receipts and staff
accountabilities in the accounting system, update physical asset and inventory
register, any other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting,
business administration-accounting option from a recognized institution. - Additional professional qualifications in Accountancy e.g. CPA,
ACCA, is desirable. - Familiarity with accounting software particularly Tally
- Previous experience in managing finances for large budgets of donor
funded projects including the reviewing and preparation of financial
reports - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Be conversant with local dialect (Kiswahili and Kupsabiny)
- Strong work ethic, high level of reliability, confidentiality and honesty
- Computer literacy, proficient with M/S word, Excel, and financial
applications - Excellent command of English language
