Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare worksheets for importers for approval, captures entries for
payment. - Dispatch entries to clients for payment of taxes
- Verify the relevant documents and computes taxes with what the
client has to pay - Prepare and processes import/export documents and other forms on
behalf of clients according to customs regulations, laws and procedures - Arrange for payment of duties, taxes, storage and transportation of
imported goods and bonds to cover duty goods - Provide advice to clients on export and import restrictions, tariff
systems, letters of credit, insurance requirements and other custom
related matters - Quote duty and tax rates on commodities for clients
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The Customs Brokerage Officer should hold a Degree or Diploma in Clearing and Forwarding
- A minimum of two years of working in a reputable clearing and
forwarding industry - Self-driven
- Excellent client relations
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent Communication and reporting skills
- Willingness to take on new opportunities and challenges
- Excellent knowledge of computer applications
- Good oral and written communication in the English language
- Excellent knowledge of computer applications
