About US:
The Uganda Protestant Medical
Bureau (UPMB) was founded in 1957 as a registered faith based Non-Governmental
Organization under the Trustees Incorporation Act (CAP 165) as Registered
Trustees of the Uganda Protestant Medical Bureau. UPMB brings together
Protestant Churches in Uganda involved in Provision of Health Services. It
serves as a link between Government and / or Development Partners and
UPMB-Member Institutions and provides support to its members through capacity
strengthening, coordination, lobbying and Advocacy, public relations and
translation of government policies.

Job Summary: The Project
Officer VMMC will ensure that VMMC activities are carried out with in the
required National clinical guidelines and also to ensure that targets in
relation to VMMT are met. He/ She will also support VMMC related trainings and
mentorships. He/ she will ensure that each client is treated with dignity and
respect.
Officer VMMC will ensure that VMMC activities are carried out with in the

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure
documentation of all surgical and follow-up procedures - Ensure
that circumcisions are carried out safely in accordance with agreed
policies. - Ensure
that all activities as pertains to circumcision are done according to the
standard operating procedures. - Ensure
QI/QA is upheld in implementation of VMMC - Communicate
professionally in writing - Willingness
to work extra hours - Perform
any other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
ideal candidate should preferably hold a Diploma in Clinical Medicine and
Community Health or equivalent. - Must
be registered with Allied Health Professionals Council - Three
years of experience in providing VMMC services - Good
communication and interpersonal skills
