Job Summary: The Project
Officer Tree Planting Project will support a tree planting project in Busiu and
Bubutu project area.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build
skills and knowledge of individual and farmer groups in tree planting and
agro forestry. - Mobilize
communities and stakeholders to support project implementation - Ensure
implementation of the project in a way that enables the community
appreciate the value of trees in enhancing rural livelihoods. - Identify
and assess strengths and training needs of existing farmer groups and
promising individual farmers in as far as tree planting and livelihoods
are concerned. - Document
project progress, success stories and lessons learnt through submission of
comprehensive monthly activity reports - Mentor
community volunteers on the effective management of the project - Participate
in planning and budgeting of project activities - Build
strategic networks and contacts to further project work.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
Project Officer Tree Planting Project must hold a degree in forestry/agro
forestry, environmental studies or any related field and should be
residents within those project areas. He/she should be computer literate
with basic project management skills and should be able to ride a motorcycle.
