Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture Victims (ACTV) is a Non-Governmental
Organisation (NGO) in Uganda which commenced operations in 1993 whose mandate
includes advocacy against torture and provision of physical and psychological
treatment and rehabilitation, social support and legal services to survivors of
torture.
Coordinator will be tasked with the supervision of the administering of medical
treatment to clients adhering to policies, professional standards and legal
obligations. To co-ordinate all medical services of the medical unit of ACTV.
- Develop
Annual Plan for the Medical Unit - Co-ordinate,
direct and provide patient care and implement activities in line with the
time frames set in the Annual Work Plan - Build
Staff capacity to provide holistic and quality care to the survivors of
torture - Implement
approved medical programs and actions - Implement
an effective records management strategy and provide multidisciplinary
medical care, treatment and rehabilitation to patients with physical
complications of torture using the Istanbul protocol guidelines - Participate
in monitoring and evaluation of the projects and program. - Actively
participate in outreaches to communities and institutions both in
treatment of survivors of torture and advocacy against torture.
- The
applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine & Surgery - Three
years of experience in a related field,
