to improving key population- based national health indicators; build the
capacity of the Ugandan government to carry out a sustainable and locally-
driven response to the HIV epidemic, while also improving TB, malaria,
nutrition, MNCH+A, and WASH outcomes. JSI will work with Ugandan stakeholders
to design and implement health system strengthening strategies to scale up
high-impact, evidence-based interventions at the national, sub-regional,
district, and community levels. Interventions will include VMMC, virtual
elimination of mother-to-child transmission of HIV, antiretroviral therapy, and
condom education and distribution. JSI will focus where the greatest impact can
be realized, with a priority on hard-to-reach and high-HIV-prevalence locations.
Technology (IT) Officer will set up and maintain the IT systems and provide
ongoing IT support for the RHITES-N, Lango project.
- Provides
help desk support to LAN users, diagnosing, trouble shooting and solving
PC hardware faults; and recommends training where appropriate - Is
responsible for setting up, administration and maintenance of Microsoft
Windows Servers, Linux Servers and the Internet gateways, including
liaising with outside IT agencies and consultants. - Researching
the purchase, rental and lease of computer systems, communications
services, hardware, software and other services to meet the needs of the
project; - Enforcing
IT policies, standards, practices, software manuals and security measures
to ensure effective operations and to safeguard information resources;
- The
applicant for the USAID RHITES-N Project Information Technology (IT)
Officer job placement should hold a Degree in Computer Science,
Information Technology, or related field; - Seven
years of relevant experience in designing, developing, or implementing
information technology projects in developing countries - The
applicant must be conversant with Google apps; - Relevant
experience with USAID-funded programs and knowledge of USAID rules, and
