Officer, MIS will support the operations management teams by ensuring that data
is readily available, analysed and easily interpreted. The jobholder will also
ensure full understanding of systems used. The incumbent will validate the MIS
and ensure that any errors are corrected. The Officer, MIS will offer proactive
support to Operations teams to understand gaps, opportunities, local activity
etc.
- Ensures availability and updating of the
metric model by all Team Leaders/Managers of departments to facilitate the
collation of data; - Prepares and submits standard management
reports and graphics to the unit head for use in briefing department
managers in the Weekly and Monthly Operations meetings.
- Provides timely technical support on the
Metrics and Productivity data tracking programs; - Provides daily inputs from departments
monitoring and support; - Accesses information quickly and
effectively to identify and resolve matters/queries. - Updates and distributes dashboards and
meeting Packs as required;
- Supports the department managers in the
development and interpretation of their respective Metrics and
Productivity data; - Identifies and highlight problem trends
for management decision making; - The jobholder escalates complex matters
to the appropriate areas for prompt decision-making and follow through to
ensure that satisfactory resolution happens quickly.

Officer, MIS job opportunity should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in
Information Technology or other Business, Technology or Quantitative field - One to two years of data management and
programming experience - Broad knowledge and understanding of the
banking environment - Working in teams
- Skills and knowledge of MIS
- Computer proficiency i.e. skills in
Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Data mining (preferably with SQL),
Microsoft Access and Business Objects
