Committee helps people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict
and disaster to survive, recover, and gain control of their future. It was
created by Albert Einstein more than 80 years and has been working in Uganda
since 1998. It has particularly working in the conflict zones where tens of
thousands of people have been kills and over 1.6 million displaced. Following a
peace agreement in 2006, Ugandans are returning home and looking to rebuild
their lives. The IRC is there to protect women and children from violence and
exploitation by fostering a safe environment and encouraging education, and is
supporting farmers and small businesses, and helping communities promote peace
and long-term development.
The Data Clerk will be responsible
for the following tasks;
Management Information System updated and maintained;
- Data on health entered, validated and analyzed;
- Measures for data security implemented;
- Reports compiled and submitted Participating in
collecting, entering and analyzing data on health; - Updating and maintaining the Health Management
Information System; - Validating and analyzing data on health;
- Participating in implementing measures for
maintaining data security; - Participating in compiling and submitting
reports on health information
Management Confidentiality: - Ensuring the non-disclosure of any information
whatsoever relating to the practices and business of IRC acquired in the
course of duty, to any other person or organization without authority,
except in the normal execution
of duty.
- The
applicant for the International Rescue Committee Data Clerk job placement certificate
in Statistics from a recognized University or Institution - Previous experience working with an
international NGO in a cross-cultural setting. - Two
years of working experience preferably with NGOs in a cross-
cultural setting - Experience in supervising staff and community incentive workers
- Previous team experience and knowledge of team
dynamics desirable - Ability to maintain the highest degree of
discretion and confidentiality. - Effective communication, trustworthy, reliable
and Honest - Excellent organizational, communication and time management skills
- Ability to organize tasks simultaneouslsy,
prioritize work and ensure tasks are completed by deadline - Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution
skills, able to work under pressure and manage personal stress - Able to coach and support others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
skills plus fluency in spoken and written English.
