to improving key population- based national health indicators; build the
capacity of the Ugandan government to carry out a sustainable and locally-
driven response to the HIV epidemic, while also improving TB, malaria,
nutrition, MNCH+A, and WASH outcomes. JSI will work with Ugandan stakeholders
to design and implement health system strengthening strategies to scale up
high-impact, evidence-based interventions at the national, sub-regional,
district, and community levels. Interventions will include VMMC, virtual
elimination of mother-to-child transmission of HIV, antiretroviral therapy, and
condom education and distribution. JSI will focus where the greatest impact can
be realized, with a priority on hard-to-reach and high-HIV-prevalence
locations.
Officer will set up and maintain the JSI financial accounts and operations
systems; maintenance of an up-to-date Quickbook database; preparation of
expenditure projections, reporting and expense monitoring. The Finance Officer
will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the project’s financial
records, payments, and receipts. This management includes the following:
- Tasked
with processing all accounts payable on a timely basis; - Maintaining
a system of tracking on all accounts receivable - Entry
of all project transactions into QuickBooks; - Tasked
with processing payroll under the Finance Manager on a monthly basis;
- The
applicant for the USAID RHITES-N Project Finance Officer t job placement
should hold a Bachelor’s degree. Preferred Advanced degree in a finance,
accounting or business-related field; - Five
years of relevant experience in financial management and/or accounting in
an NGO setting; - Relevant
experience with USAID-funded programs and knowledge of USAID rules, and
regulations strongly desired; - Experiences
with PEPFAR Expenditure Analysis reports is strongly desired;
