Under the Coordinating
Comprehensive Care for Children (4 Children) a five-year, USAID-funded project
implemented by a consortium of organizations led by CRS. NASWU supports systems
and structures at country and regional levels to implement evidence-based
interventions that protect against risk, interrupt cycles of vulnerability and
build pathways to resilience leading to an AIDS Free Generation.

Job Summary: The Finance
Officer will actively contribute to improving the efficiency and efficacy of
the association and ensure that financial controls are in place, financial
transactions are properly authorized, recorded, have adequate supporting
documentation, filled, maintained and can be easily extracted

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design
reporting formats for financial reports - Train
finance staff on the accounting software and preparation of financial
reports. - Design
effective training programs on financial management for Secretariat - Ensure
that all financial statements and reports are prepared and submitted to
partners in a timely manner. - Review
and improve the accounting operations to meet new donors and institutional
requirements. - Prepares
and submits timely and reliable financial reports to the National
Coordinator for approval - Check
and ensure that all procurement processes and expenditures are in
accordance with NASWU policies. - Ensure
that NASWU Financial rules and guidelines are followed - Coordinate
annual external audit, preparation of required documentation and support
the implementation of the resulting plan of action and audit corrective
measures
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
ideal candidate should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting,
Business or equivalent. - Professional
qualification in ACCA or CPA is an added advantage - Five
years of relevant continuous work experience in finance and administrative - Experience
with donor funded projects will be an added advantage. - Demonstrated
experience in procurement and preparation of financial reports and budget
variance analysis. - Work
experience with Ms office applications is a must. - Practical
computer skills and experience with accounting software - Demonstrate
valuable experience in financial management in a membership organization
