Job Summary: The Finance
Manager will review and monitor the implementation of Baylor Uganda financial
& accounting systems & guidelines & managing the performance of the
Finance Department

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The
Finance Manager will develop and maintain a system of keeping proper books
of accounts - Initiate
the timely preparation of accurate financial statements and management
reports - Write
quarterly and annual reports in regard to the performance of department - Prepare
monthly analysis of performance against the budget - Commit
to invoicing all documents on a daily basis - Develop
a finance department staff rotation schedule and appraise, support and
maintain a competent & motivated “finance team” - Review
the reconciliation on all bank accounts and ensure the update of all cash
accounts - Prepare
the monthly reports for reporting to BIPAI, prepare files with all
supporting documents - Review
the reconciliation of all balance sheet items supporting the monthly
operating reports - Review
all schedules supporting the Balance sheet to ensure that they are
accurate, complete - Prepare
the CDC reports for Director’s review - Approve
the liquidation of all program advances and enforce the compliance on all
outstanding balances - Keenly
review reconciliations for accounts payable ledgers to ensure that
statutory deductions have been correctly deducted, paid and submitted to
statutory authorities - Prepare
and monitor actual expenditure Vs budgeted expenditure reports
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
ideal candidate for the Baylor Uganda Finance Manager job opportunity
should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting /Finance. MBA
(Finance/Accounting Major) - Membership
of ACCA, CPA - A
minimum of three (3) years of working experience in a related managerial
post. - Good
IT skills in Microsoft Office packages, knowledge of Navision - Team
and communications skills - Must
be dynamic, - Persuasive
&convincing - Self-
motivated and able to demonstrate high initiative.
