HR & Admin Coordinator

field. The Federal Headquarters are based in Berlin, Germany. Johanniter
International Assistance is the operational unit for humanitarian aid,
development co-operation and emergency relief, implementing and supporting
mostly health projects worldwide. Johanniter have opened a Country Office in
Uganda end of 2017 with the aim to provide both humanitarian and development
assistance to refugees as well as host communities in Uganda. In close
collaboration with national partner organisations Johanniter runs community
health activities that also include the dimensions of nutrition, WASH and
livelihoods.
and Administration Officer will support all financial, HR and administrative
processes of Johanniter Unfall Hilfe eV in Uganda according to legal
obligations and Johanniter standards and procedures to provide quality,
reliable and transparent information on the use and allocation of resources.
- Administration
of petty cash and advances to project partners - Double-check
all partner financial entries for compliance with own and donor
guidelines, cross check payments with contracts, purchase orders and
monitor expenses against supporting documents - Filing
of all financial documents - Support
monthly field accounts with financial software and support preparation of
financial reports for donors and headquarters - Daily
booking of invoices in excel template for cashboxes - Conducting
regular budget controls - Reconciling
and paying bills after authorization - Support
payroll preparation and submission of Tax and NSSF payments on time - Support
audits - Follow
Johanniter’s financial guidelines and regulations
- Support
recruitment of national project and office personnel as well as
consultants if required - Tracking
and filing national staff’s vacation days, time sheets and support all
other administrative procedures related to HR management
- Administer
stock of office supplies - Support
team in secretarial and administrative tasks (filing, phone,
visitors, administration, office logistics etc.) - Any
other duties assigned by the Finance, HR & Admin Coordinator or Head
of Mission
Experience:
- The
ideal candidate for the Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e.V. Finance, HR and Administration
Officer job placement should be a qualified Accountant (BCom Accounting or
similar) - Diploma
or previous work experience in Human Resource Management would be an
advantage - At
least three years of working experience in accounting with international
NGOs or similar - Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication
skills - Strong
organizational, planning, and analytical skills - Knowledge
of financial guidelines of donor organizations - Knowledge
and good understanding of logistical procedures - Proven
ability to work independently and as part of an international team - Proven
ability to work with limited resources
