Job Summary: The Database
Administrator will provide technical expertise in the running of the banks databases
and applications.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administer
all bank’s databases (Oracle and MSSQL)
- Administer Finacle, and Other Bank
applications - Administers AIX and UNIX operating
system. - Carry out Customization on various
banking systems as may be required. - Setup and Tests new products
- Develops scripts and Management
Information System reports - Analyses, reviews and recommends
software requirements - Trains users of the databases and
applications - Sets up new hardware, installs and
upgrades software requirements
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or BIT
(Computer - Science
preferred) - Two
to three years’ experience in the specific technical areas of systems
programming and administration, applications development, database
administration, network operations, user support, decision support and
data center operations are highly desirable. - Familiarity
with data administration concepts, systems development life cycles, data
dictionaries, and database management software is desirable. - Specifically,
high proficiency in ORACLE RDBMS and Microsoft SQL Server is required. In
addition, ability to run the RDBMSs on different operating systems
including UNIX, LINUX and Windows is a must. - Excellent
communication skills. - Knowledge
of Current technological developments/trends in area of expertise. - Ability
to implement and troubleshoot programming changes and modifications. - Ability
to program configures, manage, and maintain the operation of complex
relational databases. - Knowledge
of computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures, and
techniques. - Ability
to operate on a scheduled 24-hour on-call basis. - Knowledge
of data integrity methods and techniques. - Ability
to perform acceptance testing on computer systems, applications, and
hardware. - Ability
to install, maintains, modify, and upgrade database software. - Ability
to build and maintain excellent team works among staff in the department
is desirable for this position
