Commission (UCC) was established to implement the provisions of The UCC Act
2013 Laws of Uganda with a principal goal of developing a modern communications
sub-sector and Infrastructure in Uganda, in conformity with the
operationalization of the Telecommunications Policy.
Head, Information Technology Services will provide leadership and management of
the Information Technology services, through developing implementing and
monitoring of information technology (IT) strategies and policies as well as
spearheading the automation of the Commission’s business processes hence
enabling efficiency.
- The applicant must hold a Master of Science
degree in ICT or a related field - A Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer
Science or related IT, IS,
or Computing fields; and - IT certifications, with specific bias to
Infrastructure and Network planning and administration, e.g. CCNA, CCNP,
Network+, MCP (Networking options) - At
least eight years’ experience in managing ICT operations, of which three
(3) years should be at a managerial position of a similar corporate
setting. Experience in managing ICT in a regulatory environment will be an
added advantage
