Project Manager
Bureau (UPMB) was founded in 1957 as a registered faith based Non-Governmental
Organization under the Trustees Incorporation Act (CAP 165) as Registered
Trustees of the Uganda Protestant Medical Bureau. UPMB brings together
Protestant Churches in Uganda involved in Provision of Health Services. It
serves as a link between Government and / or Development Partners and
UPMB-Member Institutions and provides support to its members through capacity
strengthening, coordination, lobbying and Advocacy, public relations and
translation of government policies.
Services & OVC Project Officer provides technical oversight, operational
coordination and management including; planning, implementation, capacity
enhancement, monitoring/evaluation and reporting to delivery of high quality
OVC care and support services in Rwenzori Region
- Lead
implementation of OVC activities in all supported districts and
communities - Oversee
achievement of OVC performance targets in line with technical standards,
best practices and donor guidelines. - Oversee
screening and enrolment of vulnerable children into the OVC program based
on the vulnerability index - Support
initiatives aimed at increasing OVC access to education and life skills. - Support
Differentiated Service models in the communities supported - Deliver
economic strengthening initiatives to the critically vulnerable OVC
households - Ensure
high quality reporting of OVC activities through national information
management systems - Strengthen
provision of high quality health care packages for OVCs and their
households. - Support
OVC case management and beneficiary assessments to track progress towards
graduation
- The
ideal candidate should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work
and Social Administration, Social Sciences or any other related field - A
postgraduate training in project planning and management will be an added
advantage - Three
years of recent experience in designing, implementing and managing OVC
programs in HIV setting. - Experience
in implementing donor-funded projects - Familiar
with OVC programming in Uganda - Excellent
computer skills (Microsoft Office Programs)
