capacity of the Ugandan government to carry out a sustainable and locally-
driven response to the HIV epidemic, while also improving TB, malaria,
nutrition, MNCH+A, and WASH outcomes. JSI will work with Ugandan stakeholders
to design and implement health system strengthening strategies to scale up
high-impact, evidence-based interventions at the national, sub-regional,
district, and community levels. Interventions will include VMMC, virtual
elimination of mother-to-child transmission of HIV, antiretroviral therapy, and
condom education and distribution. JSI will focus where the greatest impact can
be realized, with a priority on hard-to-reach and high-HIV-prevalence
locations.

stakeholders such as the Ministry of Health and others. The Communications
Advisor oversees the execution of a communication strategy for internal and
external audiences to facilitate the accessibility of the work of the RHITES-N,
Lango project and the promotion of services and products. She/he plays a
critical role in ensuring all RHITES-N, Lango communication documents, tools,
and media serve the needs of the project, while enhancing the narrative of why
and how RHITES-N, Lango adds value to health service provision in Northern
Uganda. Working closely with the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Advisor
and reporting to the Deputy Chief of Party, the Communications Advisor works
collaboratively with project technical teams to ensure that project reporting
requirements are fulfilled in a timely manner and to the required quality,
including quarterly reports, best practices, and success stories.
- Work
in close collaboration with key project staff, develop and execute a
communication strategy, which includes audience segmentation, key
messages, and a robust monitoring and evaluation component - Advise
the Chief of Party and the senior leadership team on all aspects of the
program’s communications efforts, ensuring the program is taking advantage
of key communications opportunities and speaking with one voice when communicating
externally - Work
with key program staff to compile, write, and disseminate reports for the
donor and other stakeholders. Coordinate the entire process of developing
and completing these reports. - Manage
the full production cycle for communications products (print, digital, and
audio/visual), including copy editing, layout/ design, printing, and
dissemination.
- The
applicant for the USAID RHITES-N Project Communications Advisor job
placement should hold a Master’s Degree in Communications, International Development
Public Health or a related field - At
least four years of progressive experience in the area of communications - Experience
working in communications for health services/ commodities is preferred; - Design
experience using Adobe Photoshop, In-Design, or similar systems is highly
desired;
