Watoto Child Care Ministries is
a ministry of Watoto Church that rescues vulnerable children and restores
dignity to them by providing holistically for their physical, spiritual and
emotional needs. Watoto has operations in Kampala, Wakiso, Mpigi and Gulu.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Gather
    relevant information from the pertinent stakeholders and write biographies
    of new Watoto beneficiaries.
  • Ensure
    that the bios for new beneficiaries are ready within a month from the time
    of reception with appropriate content according to guidelines and format.
  • Discover
    and manage a committed team of volunteers to assist in writing the beneficiaries’
    bios and updates.
  • Ensure
    availability of updated and accurate biographical profile component of all
    sponsored individuals and ensure that the necessary notes/information are provided
    for the inactive beneficiaries.
  • Find
    and manage a committed team of volunteers to assist in writing the beneficiaries’
    bios and updates, to enable availability of an up-date bios.
  • Organise
    and facilitate the annual update process for the Watoto beneficiaries and manage
    all queries regarding beneficiary updates within 24 working hours.
  • Assist
    in collecting information about sponsored individuals requested by the Country
    Offices and enable easy access of the gathered information on an on-line platform
    for the country offices
  • Perform
    any other duties of the Sponsorship team leader, in the event of his/her
    absence to allow continuity of work.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The
    applicant for the Watoto Sponsorship Administrator (Profile Management)
    job should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mass communication, Journalism,
    Education with a specialty of Literature in English.
  • At
    least two years’ experience in writing with proven IT knowledge, skill and
    experience in database management. Knowledge of web-based usage is an
    added advantage.
  • Strong
    computer knowledge in word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook.
  • Excellent
    interpersonal, communication, listening, writing and editing and people’s
    skills.
  • Must
    be a team player with ability to gain support and cooperation from key stakeholders
  • Well
    organised, effective time keeper with high attention to details and
    commitment to  accuracy.
