Officer
Development (CEFORD) is a leading, not for profit
(NGO) in West Nile, registered with the National NGO
Nile (Uganda).
- The
Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant will develop MEL plan for the
project, including KPIs and frequency & responsibility of data
collection - Develop
surveys and other data collection tools - Oversee
data collection in the field and ensure data are accurate and of high
quality. - Ensure
all required data is reported in time - Keenly
analyze and update indicator performance, evaluate information and make
recommendations. - Clarify
the core information needs of management and provide relevant and timely
information to the Project Officer & Partner Focal staff. - Assess
performance gaps within the Project report on corrective actions needed. - Implement
and participate in project monitoring, progress evaluation, survey and
project follow up - Develop
data monitoring tools to increase project performances and results. - Document
the lessons learnt and best practices of the different programs and
projects. - Suggest
ways to facilitate data collection and the flow of data within Partner
field teams. - Identify
strengths and weaknesses in existing data collection and management
systems and propose solutions. - Perform
field visits to ensure the quality of data collected by Field staff and to
verify the accuracy of reported data. - Manage
beneficiary data systems and maintain an updated database - Analyze
data on beneficiaries and ensure data integrity system wide - Assist
in preparation of donor reports
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor Degree in
Agriculture Economics, Business Computing, Information Management,
Statistics, Economics, Business Management, Social Sciences or relevant
field; - Postgraduate Certificate in M&E from
recognized Institution/University an added advantage - At least two years of experience in
participatory assessment and monitoring, data processing or analysis and
computer experience, training, facilitation and communication skills, and
M&E design experience in humanitarian context; - Good level of proficiency in Windows Word,
Excel, Powerpoint and quantitative analysis - Strong interpersonal skills and leadership
capacity - Experience in a Non-Governmental Organization
and/or Private Sector. - Demonstrated leadership ability to manage and mentor enumeration teams;
- Excellent written and verbal communication
skills in English; - Significant experience in field work and
interacting with beneficiaries including keen observation skills; - Ability to plan and implement MEAL activities in humanitarian context;
- Sensitive to traditions, culture, beliefs and
refugee/host community hierarchical structures; - Ability to ride motorcycle and valid riding
permit an added advantage.
