Responsibilities:
- The System Administrator will be
responsible for monitoring and managing systems resources including CPU
usage, disk usage and response time to maintain operating efficiency. - Responsible for Implementing ICT strategy
and policies in line with the ministry strategy, vision and objectives. - Overseeing the administration and
maintenance of the Systems infrastructure for the group and ensuring that
the ICT business processes are efficient. - Maintaining and developing a modern,
cost-effective, stable and secure ICT infrastructure available at all
times. Ensuring active directory and client computer OS maintenance. - Ensuring adequate backup and recovery
strategies and systems are in place and reviewed regularly. Disaster
recovery and to ensure business continuity. - Managing, monitoring and reviewing the
relationships with service providers and ensure that high levels of
service are received and maintained. - Ensuring that staff are performing
according to industry certified best practices, their job descriptions,
and department work plans and participating in appraisal of staff,
coaching and mentoring. - Prepare a schedule of annual leave
appropriately and ensure adequate cover at all times and ensure to disseminate
information within and across departments and levels of management. - Manages, evaluates and ensures IT security
concerns for the organisation are addressed, e.g. anti-virus, firewall
configuration, internal and external penetration testing and user access
controls / user account management
Experience:
- The applicants for the Watoto Church
Systems Administrator jobs should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Information
Technology, Computer science, Software Engineering. - Certificate from either CISCO Microsoft or
Oracle with an experience in dynamics is an added advantage. - At least three years’ experience in system
administration and technical implementation in a reputable organisation
with an ability to supervise. - Strong interpersonal skills and commitment
to work within a team environment. - Knowledge of budgeting, Financial planning
and management reporting. - Self-motivated, ability to multi task,
innovative and creative.
