services. n addition to delivering responsibly-sourced cocoa, coffee, vanilla
and natural ingredients, we are now increasing our engagement in
commodity-producing countries through processing operations in cocoa.
Manager will implement the company’s coffee sustainability vision providing a
meaningful future for coffee growing communities and direct benefit to
biodiversity.
Responsibilities:
Drive objectives and metrics for key programs of
Touton Sustainability Plan in Uganda
Develop and manage projects (e.g. impact
assessments, budgets and reporting)
Collaborate with partners to ensure efficient
implementation of joint sustainability programs – Touton, suppliers,
Governmental offices (UCDA, Narcori, NFA, etc), NGOs ( GCP, USAID, Solidaridad,
aBi, GIZ etc)
Through field presence, increase Touton voice in
coffee policy discussions and enhance origin government relations
Ensure the effective on-the-ground roll out and
coordination of all initiatives, building local ownership by working closely
with UCDA.
Work across stakeholders to build and deliver
Touton Service delivery model in Uganda – helping to establish local
capabilities, liaise with relevant ministries to ensure partnership and project
success, work with national and local governments on building an effective
intervention strategy.
Regular travel within Uganda to work with
partners and abroad
Support internal and external communications on
Touton sustainability initiatives
Experience:
The applicant must hold an academic
qualification in Business Administration, Food Science, Nutrition, Public
Health or related field preferred; Master’s level desirable
Five to eight years of relevant work experience
The successful candidate will have a background
or experience in the areas of rural development in Coffee growing communities,
resilience & income diversification, food security, sustainable coffee
farming (good farming practices, service provision, business development services,
certification, deforestation & intensification), women’s/children’s issues,
health & nutrition and other social issues.
Ability to work both independently and on a
large global team, show demonstrated success in working with governments’
agencies and NGOs, project development and management
Excellent verbal, presentation and writing
skills.
Availability to travel (in-country) 20 – 30% of
time
Ability to obtain travel visa if needed
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
applications including PowerPoint skills
Proven communication skills in English and
French is a plus
