to save lives, defeat poverty and achieve social justice. And also help propel
CARE as a global leader within a worldwide movement dedicated to ending
poverty.
Identify, write and tell stories about CARE’s
work in a creative, empowering and illuminating manner
Guide CARE staff/partners and demonstrate
capacity to creatively showcase CARE’s work through our website, through social
media and using IT,
Advise and demonstrate capacity to showcase and
package CARE’s work through graphic design,
Have strong editing, newspaper article and press
statement writing and content production skills,
Advise, train CARE staff/partners and use
various communication approaches to make CARE’s work more visible
Mentor and train CARE staff/partners on creative
ways of sharing and disseminating project information in annual reports,
baseline reports, research reports, midterm review reports, and end line survey
reports.
Support CARE Uganda’s development of a database
of stories of change.
Experience:
The applicants for the CARE International
Internship jobs should hold Degrees in communications, web design, journalism
or social media, public relations
Proven ability to work on time sensitive
assignments and interact well with diverse groups;
Collaborative work and self-driven approach;
Excellent communication skills both oral and
written;
Excellent analytical skills;
Computer literacy; especially working with
graphical design type packages.
Frequent travel to and periodically work in
rural areas e.g. Arua, Kyangwali, Kyaka, Gulu,
Amuru, Otuke, Karamoja, Moyo and Adjumani
