Uganda focused on ending extreme poverty by eliminating immediate barriers of
scarcity, nurturing income-generation activities and building local capacity,
while moving communities toward economic self-sufficiency.
Officer will work with RTV project partners, prospective villages, staff
members, and coordinates with parties, and supports all aspects of project
through its development.
Report weekly plan of activities and key
deliverables to RPS every Friday for coming week
Review weekly plans and activities and key
deliverables for review with RPS
Debrief with RPS on progress on specific tasks
on Wednesday, and every Friday full project report (covering deliverables, key
issues and risks, key activities in villages under portfolio)
Identify key issues and risks for projects
during project reporting
Prepare
Kisoro/Kanungu office accountability and ensure bi-weekly (by 14th
and 28th) submission to head office of records and receipts for portfolio.
Report and Status Updates for portfolio of personnel
Activities
Collect and Create Monitoring and Evaluation
content for M&E team on a regular and timely basis
Ensure the completion of Monitoring and
Evaluation content for M&E team by staff responsible
Coordinate contacts and planning of initial
project visits and prepare budgets
Conduct the initial project visits for
prospective visits, and resolve any challenges pertaining to visit
Create the recommendations and content for
discussion with team for project selection
Conduct the full community assessment and
populate necessary data for design and load into dropbox
Collect additional information and document key
contact information of (LC3, LC1, CDO, and specific individuals) and manage
relationships as a primary point of contact
Identify recommendations of key initiatives and
their priority
Coordinate, plan, budget, and schedule key
initiatives and data collection activities
Complete Work plan , Budget and Project Viability Models and additional plans
and load into dropbox
Complete program designs, and act as first line
of review and Conduct project review with the RPS, OM, NPO, and peer review for
approval
On-going Management of Workplan, Budget, and
Reporting of portfolio
Management of infrastructure programs
Sourcing, management, and completion of training
and facilitation programs
Implementation of programming and act as a first
level of officer escalation and resolution
Monitor performance of programs and maintenance

Conduct on-going interviews of leadership and
community on performance, participation, and perceptions
Track and review on-going financial reports and
progress
Complete necessary reporting for government and
grants
Oversee on-going growth and development

Collection of monitoring and evaluation data on
a timely basis of portfolio
Analysis of data and recommendations to RPS and
program team of changes, revisions, and additions
Review, validation and reporting of data

Requirements
The ideal candidate for the Raising the Village
(RTV) Senior Project Officer job placement must hold a University Degree
in Business Statistics, Project planning
and Development, Community Development, or related fields
Masters or Post Graduate Diploma in Project
planning and Management will be an added advantage.
At least five years of related working
experience, with three years at a senior management level.
Experience in project design and budgeting
Strong English verbal and written
Fluent in local languages (Lufumbira/Lukiga)
Strong communication skills and team player
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Computer
skills
Project management at a village level with
implementation experience
Strong organizational skills
Energetic and physically able to hike on high
terrain, ability to travel for field work 80% of time
Self-starter
The Candidate should be able to complete
Performance Self – Assessment for June and December cycles
Complete staff performance reviews every
December
Develop skills and attend training on 2 focus
areas of: (health, agriculture, income-generation, education, infrastructure,
networking, programming, languages, etc.
