Risk Officer will mainly monitor and implement the Bank’s I.T Risk Management
Framework in line with regulatory framework and the Bank’s policies and
procedures.
Responsibilities:
Conduct I.T security risk assessments for new
and existing systems, applications and programs to identify vulnerabilities and
prescribe possible solutions in line with industry best practices.
Perform periodic snap check assessments of
Operating systems, database management systems, firewalls, intrusion detection
and web based applications in line with departmental plans, the Bank’s policies
and procedures and regulatory frameworks.
Coordinate with the I.T risk champion to track
I.T Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), I.T Risk
Register and control self-assessments in line
with the departmental plans.
Monitor, resolve and document all I.T Incidents
with subsequent analysis in line with agreed upon recommendations.
Monitor and assess all ICT related projects to
mitigate I.T related risks have been addressed in line with departmental plan.
Coordinate with I.T Audit to resolve both
External and Internal audit issues in line with regulatory frameworks.
Coordinate Penetration testing exercises
Coordinate Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP)
tests in line with the Business Continuity Plan.
Prepare and submit periodic I.T Risk reports as
and when required
Experience:
The ideal candidate for the Housing Finance Bank
Senior IT Risk Officer job opportunity must hold a Bachelor’s degree in in
Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Full or part CISA or CISM is an added advantage
A minimum of three years’ experience in I.T Risk
management or I.T Audit
Demonstrate domain knowledge of I.T
infrastructure, application development/SDLC and information security.
Previous experience in I.T Project management
Must be a team player and possess excellent
inter-personal skills; be an active listener; and possess good telephone and
e-mail etiquette.
Extensive multi-tasking and prioritization
skills
Ability to work for longer hours if required to
do so
Capability to maintain a high level of
confidentiality
Excellent verbal and written communication
skills.
