Job Summary: The Resident
Project Coordinator (RPC) will work with dual oversight and direction from the
Sub-Grantee Project Sponsor (Postbank Uganda) and the World Savings Bank
Institute (WSBI) Senior Program Manager, the Resident Project Coordinator (RPC)
shall be responsible for the day-to-day implementation support of the approved
project. The position requires a comprehensive and detailed understanding of
the project objectives and dynamics, the local operating environment, as well
as a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.
Project Coordinator (RPC) will work with dual oversight and direction from the

Institute (WSBI) Senior Program Manager, the Resident Project Coordinator (RPC)
shall be responsible for the day-to-day implementation support of the approved
project. The position requires a comprehensive and detailed understanding of
the project objectives and dynamics, the local operating environment, as well
as a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide in-house technical support and
advisory on the most cost-effective and competitive approaches to
implement the project - Coordinate project management activities,
resources, equipment and information between the Sub-Grantee and WSBI - Support the Sub-Grantee break the project
into doable actions and set timeframes - Liaise with the Sub-Grantee to identify
and define requirements, scope and objectives of the different components
of the project - Support the Sub-Grantee Project Manager
with following up on assigned tasks to internal teams and assist with
schedule management - Make sure that Sub-Grantee needs are met,
and the WSBI Program Objectives as realized as the project evolves - Support the Sub-Grantee Project Manager
with project accountability and budget planning - Analyze operational risks and
opportunities and advise the Sub-Grantee and WSBI accordingly - Support project procurement management
- Monitor project progress and handle any
issues that arise - Act as the point of contact and
communicate project status to all stakeholders - Work with the Sub-Grantee Project Manager
and WSBI Local Technical Specialist to eliminate blockers - Create and maintain comprehensive project
documentation, plans and reports - Ensure standards and requirements are met
through conducting quality assurance tests
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s
Degree in Business Administration, Business Technology or related field - Prior exposure and experience in financial
inclusion and Digital Financial Services - Experience in project management, from
conception to delivery - Ability to prepare and interpret
flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans - Solid organizational skills, including
multitasking and time-management - Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with risk management and
quality assurance - control
- Excellent written and verbal communication
skills. - Ability to handle sensitive information
with absolute confidentiality. - Working knowledge of software applications
including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. - Ability to make decisions independently or
to escalate issues as needed.
