Head of Development

has already invested over $2.8 billion and is about to embark on a major
upstream development project in the Lake Albert Rift Basin.
Job Summary: The Head of Development
will oversee and manage the technical work undertaken and ensure quality of all
technical operations in Uganda covering operations, projects, facilities, subsurface,
well engineering and environmental and social activities.
Prepare
LA2 for FID, including seeking supporting information from operators Total and
CNOOC.
Interact
with Tullow functions to ensure technical support is available for review and
completion as needed.
Liaise
with Government of Uganda agencies and authorities to ensure that Tullow and
Joint Venture objectives are achieved.
Support
the Leadership Team in building an integrated activity and budget plans
across the business units.
Act
as resource/reserves authority for the LA2 including coordination of auditing
process with external auditors in line with PRMS and submission to authorities.
Prepare
LA2 for the FID Gate review and ensure that all necessary functional assurances
are in place.
Ensure
delivery of optimal field development, well & reservoir management plans.
Ensure
that wells, facilities, operations scope is delivered as agreed and in
line with international specifications.
Maintain
and enhance integrated activity plans, prepare budgets, cost reviews and
regular update reports.
Experience:
The
applicant must hold a Degree in Geoscience, Petroleum Engineering or related
discipline.
At least twenty years’ experience, ideally in onshore oil and gas development.
Must
have been involved in large onshore projects from appraisal to operations.
Experience
in managing Joint Venture Partners, Governments and other stakeholder
relationships.
Excellent
technical skills in an onshore development setting management.
Strong
operational skills and experience.
Strong
field development planning and project execution skills in a complex
setting
Able
to work with a multi-cultural and diverse team
Collaborative
style and multidisciplinary awareness
