After a successful first phase, TechnoServe is implementing the second
phase of the program to help 48,000 rural young women and men in East Africa
transition to economic independence. STRYDE phase II program is built on the

package of services such as skills training, business development and mentoring
to young people ages 18 to 30 in Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania. Our

Districts, equipping over 13,000 rural youth with the skills and knowledge to

Job Summary: The Monitoring
and Evaluation Support Intern will support the M&E Analyst in providing
technical and administrative support of Stryde activities.

Data entry and Analysis:
- Assist
in follow up of both direct and indirect status tracking - Arrange
all hard copy program forms/documents into well-serialized files - Data
cleaning and verification. - Conduct
analysis for all entered data and enter indirect attendances in the MIS - Support
the M& E Analyst in the supervision quality data entry process - Review
all data collected from the field to ensure that they are inscription
error free - Enter
all data provided in the appropriate formats, swiftly and accurately. - Save
all data entered securely and ensure that all data entered is
properly backed up on a daily basis in other secure locations (e.g.
dropbox, googledocs, TechnoServe server etc) - Perform
any other duties as may be assigned
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the TechnoServe
(TNS) Monitoring and Evaluation Support Intern job opportunity should preferably
hold a degree/diploma; - Knowledge
of MS Word, Power point, Advanced Excel is required; - Experience
with data form design, collection and data entry and analysis; - Demonstrated
ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team; - Demonstrated
ability to work with large quantities of data and convert it into
understandable results; - Excellent
data analytical skills and interpretation, sound quantitative
skills (managing, analysis and interpretation of data) - Excellent
communication and facilitation skills and ability to establish good
working relationships - High-level
computers skills in statistical packages particularly Advanced Excel
and SPSS - Strong
knowledge of data quality assurance, analysis and reporting. - Strong
writing skills and experience with producing technical reports required. - Must
have own laptop for the exercise - Strong
communication and interpersonal skills.
