Officer
is a non-governmental humanitarian national organization established in 1988,
and duly registered with the NGO Board and NGO Forum. IAU is actively involved
in programs geared towards the protection and improvement of lives of
disadvantaged people living in urban and rural areas in Uganda and in the Great
Lakes Region. InterAid Uganda is focused on its thematic areas of Rights
Protection, Education, Livelihood & Food Security, Health (HIV&AIDS;
Malaria; Maternal and Reproductive Health), Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH),
Environment and Disaster Management and good Management and Governance systems.
Assistant- Community Center will mainly coordinate the administrative function
of the community center and ensure adherence with a view of increasing efficiency
and service delivery.
Manage/
oversee the receipt, storage, requisition of supplies and materials at the
community center
In
charge of management and maintenance of the community center
Ensure
that community center office premises are clean and well maintained including
the assets.
Ensure
that all assets at the community center are in good working condition.
Carry
out the periodic reconciliations of assets i.e. monthly, quarterly, semi –
annual and annual at the center
Compile
periodic reports and ensure timely submission to the Supervisor.
Ensure
the proper records management of all office equipment at the community center
premises.
Ensure
that proper records are maintained at the community center.
Managers: Provide supportive
supervision to the office attendant.
Control
access to the community center and ensure safe custody of all IAU assets as per
the set standards.
Ensure
safety of assets at the community center.
procedures are complied with and by all staff.
The
ideal candidate for the InterAid Uganda Limited (IAU) Administrative Assistant-
Community Center job opportunity should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree
in Office and Information Management, Social Work, Social Sciences or related course from a recognised institution

Professional, friendly, client focused approach
Previous experience in an administration support
role preferable in a community services, member based or not for profit environment
Exceptional customer service focus
