Assistant
Federation Department for World Service (LWF-DWS), an international
humanitarian and development agency. LWF Uganda works to reduce people’s
vulnerability, supporting them to realize their potential, to build on their
assets, and to respond to their own problems and needs. LWF Uganda currently
has five areas of operation in Pader, Kitgum, Adjumani, Katakwi, Sembabule,
Kampala and Kamwenge Districts. LWF
World Service partners include Lutheran Churches and their related agencies,
the European Commission (ECHO), the US Government (BPRM) and UNHCR among
others, with whom LWF World Service is a key implementing partner.
The ideal candidate for the LWF v job placement
should hold a current, valid Uganda driver’s license and is trained in
defensive driving
Possess a clean and safe driving record, capable
of driving Land cruisers
At least two years’ experience driving on all
types of roads and various road conditions found in Uganda (i.e. in towns, on
highways, on marram roads, through Kampala, in wet and dry seasons, etc.)
The applicant must also hold an Ordinary Level
Certificate of Education.
Preferred past experience working with a
humanitarian or not-for profit organization.
Past mechanical knowledge preferred.
Fluency in English required.
Must be willing to work in Kyangwali
