Investigator
Disease Control and Prevention to provide comprehensive HIV/AIDS, STI and TB
services to prisoners and staff of the Prisons Service. The project that spans
the period 1st April, 2015 to 31st March, 2020 is being implemented
by the Department of Prisons Health Services.
Advisor will provide clinical expertise, advice, leadership, and support to the
Prisons Service in the consistent delivery of a high quality, client-focused
HIV/AIDS services that match the needs of the prisons population and provides
value for money.
Ensures that the national HIV/AIDS policies are
aligned with prisons environment to meet cooperative agreement objectives.
Provides technical and clinical guidance,
leadership and support to regional clinics on HIV/AIDS management.
Coordinates the work schedule and reports.
Ensures that human resource capacity needs are
available and functional.
Experience:
The applicant must hold an MB Ch B. or its
equivalent from a recognized University/Institution.
Must be registered with the Medical and Dental
Practitioners’ Council.
At least five years of experience with
comprehensive knowledge of Health Service delivery in places of detention and
working with armed forces
Demonstrable knowledge of HIV/AIDS programming
will be an added advantage.

Public relations and customer care.
The Clinical Advisor must be a dynamic and
highly self-motivated person with the ability to work under pressure and meet
tight reporting deadlines and will be required to travel frequently and spend
60% of the time in the field.
